Classroom Expectations and Consequences

Classroom Expectations and Consequences

Classroom expectations have been established in order to provide your child with the most beneficial educational setting.  They need to be followed in order to provide a classroom environment that is productive, safe, and respectful of both others and oneself.

Behavior Trackers: The students will bring home their Behavior Trackers daily.  Please sign it everyday and discuss any behavior concerns you may have with your child.  If a student doesn't receive a check under the "Outstanding" box, they have broken a classroom expectation at least once that day.  For students that earn checks in only the "Outstanding" column all week, they will earn a lunch date with me the following week, where we eat lunch, watch a movie, and have a dessert treat together.

The classroom expectations are as follows:

Be Respectful

Be Responsible

Be Safe

Raise your hand and wait your turn.

Follow directions when asked.

Sit in your chair correctly and push it in when not in use.

Be an active listener.

Be ready to learn.

Walk at all times.

Be kind with your words and actions.

Be responsible with school and personal property.

Keep your hands and feet to yourself.

To ensure success for all of my students, I have the following rewards and consequences in my classroom.

When students work hard, cooperate, and are being good citizens, they may receive any of the following as a reward:

1.     Praise

2.     Table points

3.     Tickets

4.     A treat

5.     PAT Time- Free time or class game

6.     Homework pass

7.     An item from the treasure box
