Awards Information
Oak Mesa has many opportunities for students to be recognized for their hard work and positive efforts. Awards Assemblies are held at the end of each trimester. The Awards below are used for grades TK - 5th.
TK/Kindergarten

Each teacher will select 1 student for a Character award in each area each trimester (1st Trimester is Fairness & Trustworthiness; 2nd Trimester is Respect, Responsibility & Caring; 3rd Trimester is Self-discipline & Perseverance

Each teacher will select at least 1 student for and Outstanding Owl Award (Effort)
1st - 3rd Grade

1 student per teacher will be recognized in each academic area below

Only Half Million/Million Word Awards will be recognized at the Awards Assembly

Reading Masters/Library Awards-students will be given a card to come to the library to get their certificate from the Librarian.

College Bound Degrees - Word Count as a Class recognized as a Class on the morning announcements - Not at assembly
4th & 5th Grade

Students will be recognized for Academic Excellence for A’s & A+’s
